The surgery has been advised that the NHS App will be used for patients required to show their vaccine status. We have been told we should not respond to requests for letters from patients, please see below.
The guidance is that from May 17th, functionality of the NHS App will allow you to see your covid vaccine status. The app is available to download
Government advice to patients who require a letter:
If a patient does not have access to a smartphone and they know the country they are travelling to require COVID-19 vaccination status, patients can call the NHS helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to them. The patient must request the letter at least 5 days after they have completed their vaccination course. The government expect the letter to take up to 5 days to reach the patient.
